Where Nepal Becomes the Classroom

Master’s in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship (MSIE) grounded in real-world immersion across Himal, Pahad, and Terai.

A Different Kind of University

Nepal Communiversity is an initiative that originated at King’s College and has grown into an independent, registered not-for-profit organization since 2023. Our mission is to bring academia, industry, state and community together to co-create learning programs, ranging from fellowships to a master’s degree where students engage deeply with local knowledge systems, develop personal and social agency, and contribute meaningfully to the communities they serve. Central to our approach is cultivating entrepreneurship and social innovation, empowering learners to design and lead transformative solutions within their local context

Our Model of Innovation

At Nepal Communiversity, the Quadruple Helix model brings together academia, industry, government, and communities as equal partners in learning. Through community immersion, reflection, and collaboration, students develop holistic skills while co-creating real-world solutions and meaningful impact.

Stories from the Field

The Communiversity SIF Fellowship came at a defining point in my journey, when I was already working closely with communities, institutions, and policy spaces, yet searching for a deeper sense of alignment between purpose and practice. Having grown up around conversations on public service, governance, and social responsibility, I had long believed in impact-driven work. This fellowship helped me pause, reflect, and critically re-examine how that impact is created and for whom it truly matters. What made the SIF Fellowship distinctive was its emphasis on community as both a teacher and a partner. The sessions were not just intellectually stimulating but also emotionally grounding, encouraging us to listen, unlearn, and engage with humility. Learning alongside a diverse cohort enriched my understanding of leadership—not as titles, but as something rooted in empathy, accountability, and action. The fellowship strengthened my commitment to development work that is inclusive, locally informed, and ethically grounded. More importantly, it reaffirmed my belief that meaningful change begins with conscious individuals working collectively. I carry the lessons of the Communiversity SIF Fellowship forward in both my professional work and personal philosophy with deep gratitude.

Thank you so much, Communiversity, for this amazing experiee.

Winter Program Fellow (2024)

During my time in the Communiversity Summer Program, I had the incredible opportunity to form meaningful bonds that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Late-night moments of laughter and camaraderie became a cherished part of my experience, bringing us closer together as a tight-knit community. The program also welcomed a diverse range of remarkable guests, giving us the privilege of learning from their wisdom and experiences. Central to my journey were the invaluable mentors who guided me through both the academically rigorous aspects of the program and moments of pure fun, leaving me with a treasure trove of memories that I will forever hold dear.
